The Guadalupe Project is a network of a various ministries from throughout the Americas which is dedicated to celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Virgin of Guadalupe and the 2000th anniversary of the Redemption of Christ. The project forms Eucharistic Evangelizers of all ages in understanding the Bible and Christ in the Eucharist, so they can transmit the faith to young Catholics under the age of 35. The goal is to have more young Catholics Receive the Eucharist and consider Religious vocations.
Guadalupe Project is part of the Missionaries of Mary, a Public Association of the Faithful, whose leadership has been working in the Diocese of Phoenix for the last thirty years. On September 8, 2011, our statutes were canonically created by Archbishop Hector Miguel Cabrejos Vidarte, OFM of the Archdiocese of Trujillo, Peru, and received Mutual Canonical Recognition in the Diocese of Phoenix in 2021, and we have currently applied for Pontifical Recognition of our International Status.
Our apostolate is divided in three steps. The Tilma Tour offers young people an encounter with God through music, drama, and visuals. The Eucharistic Evangelizers Courses form disciples who understand the Mass and the Eucharist. Christ in Our Neighborhood creates small communities reflecting on Scripture. Together, these three steps awaken faith, inspire vocations, and send missionaries forth in the spirit of Guadalupe.
We also work internationally where we desire to be recognized as “People of the Church in the heart of the world, and people of the world in the heart of the Church”. The Spirituality of our group is centered on daily Mass and Rosary. The mission of the Association is to inspire families to form International Catholic Servant Leaders to be Missionary Disciples and Saints.
We encourage and teach Catholic families, leaders, and communities to initiate parish evangelization activities. Guided by their parish pastor the parish develops an awareness of the call for evangelization in the world. The members of our Association inspire and form Disciple Missionaries from these parishes and communities to participate in Catholic Missions. Those who feel the call are formed and prepared to initiate evangelization activities in their prayer groups, parish, diocese, region, country, or internationally.
